I don't have any friends or anyone IRL, and it's been like that sense I was little forever a loner aside from the few I used to know way back before going into home schooling which is another story entirely. I'm 28 overweight, and generally feel like an ugly loser. I just wonder where my life is going, and if it is worth it honestly. Will I make it in music, will I be anything or anyone special to someone. With no social skills at all, and being quiet most of the time not knowing how to interact or not wanting to seem weird I just don't know. Loneliness is the scariest monster of all, one that can hollow your soul and twist your heart. Thank you for reading, and sorry again. Off to continue work, and contemplate thing's by myself.

Valkrie...
All these issues are in your head...
(No disrespect)
If you need to make friends...
You have to get out and socialize..

Managing your depression can be tricky..
but..
If it is important to you..

>Make the effort.
>Try new things..
>Do things you wouldn't normally do.
>Reach out.

What makes you think you are a bother to your friends?

Making it in music?
Well.
That is honestly up to you.
I know the music industry can be tough so ...
How about a backup?
A college degree in engineering?...
This way you'll stay in the business.

Back to the depression.
>Get off the internet...
>Go out for trips or walks ..
>Go Visit some friends.

When was the last time you went out of town?

Depression is really the way you see your life...
(Honestly)

Change the way you see your life and surprisingly..
Your life will begin to change.(it sounds weird I know)

Anyway...
Always happy to help..
Hugs..

Thank you Ano. I took your advice, and went out today to clear my mind. Engineering would be an interesting field to look into, and I've just always worried about being a bother. Like not wanting to be a burden when life can be crazy enough if that makes sense. I'll take your advice though, and change my outlook as well as get active. Thank you again. *Hugs Back*

It was a hot day!

I usually love and am used to them, but it was ridiculously and unusually hot,

I was just eating and was breaking a sweat, and we live on the water side on a mountain-esque hill ~___~

This advice may not be to your liking but have you thought about joining a gym ? you say your overweight - the gym can help , but the other part is your out of the house . 2, your socialising if you make an effort to chat 3, exercise releases endorphins that creates the feel good factor thus helping with depression . I go to the gym and I see ages from 12 to probably late 80's and of all shapes and sizes - no body will care about your size as everyone is there for the same reasons - the staff can set you a program too which also helps with interacting with them and others - You honestly get out of it what your willing to put in , it can be fun for the hour or so your there

Thank you, and your right. Just getting out of the house, and going there I'll meet new people and the staff can also help with programs along with talking to them which will help as well with interacting as you said. I have been looking into some local gym's like one called Planet Fitness. Tongue Hoping to start there soon, and get active. I'll put everything into it, and just see where it goes. Thanks again. valkyrie4488, I often think we need to have more old fashioned town squares. People used to wander around them and do a little mild socializing while taking care of errands. My grandfather and his crowd had a meeting place in front of a shop downtown. They would walk down there after supper and sit. Never said anything. Just sat. Perhaps you could find a coffee shop or a bar or a place to just sit and sip iced tea. Take a litle walk getting there and enjoy the change of scene. Might help.

PS: One of my favorite bars in the whole world was a place in St. Pete called the Chataway. It was a real dive with a couple of ratty pool tables and nothing but beer and coffee. You could get a beer and go outside to sit under a sprawling tree in an old yard chair with your feet up on a low branch and sit for hours. Great place. No agenda.

Me? I'm glad to be breathing better after a nasty siege of asthma or bronchitis or something. Thank heaven for the nebulizer. Feeling a little stronger.
