@James, at 71...you SHOULD be retired. I'm not sure how it works where you live though and by extension why you were still working.

Doing fine at the moment.

Today the debate continues in Congress about a one time withdrawal of a 10% of our retirement funds, since the government has left little alternative for a solution that would help the majority of the people affected by this pandemic.

It is so much more important that than though...it would mean a small opening to the possibility of a much needed reform or better yet the complete overhaul of a pension system imposed in the dictatorship years that clearly isn't getting the results needed.

Tomorrow it gets voted, so we will see.

Vote in the Lower House of Congress for a one time withdrawal of 10% of our retirement funds in the face of lacking wide reaching government initiatives to tackle drops in income for most of the population got a good out come (93 of 155 votes where needed, 95 in favor were cast). Now it goes to the Senate.

Like I mentioned before it is about more than that. It is a crack in the current model, a probable beginning of a much needed pension reform and a heavy blow to the eternally unresponsive elites in power.

The night before it got voted many cities including mine erupted in pots and pans banging (cacerolazo), as this city's mayor happily shared, sending a clear message against the government's aggressive attempts to get the bill rejected and buried.

The best of the best for me however, was watching  congresswoman Pamela Jiles doing a Naruto run (pink feathered fans included) and then a victory dance in the face of the Interior and Finance Ministers when the bill passed Big Grin

It is the happiest I have been given the situation the country is facing since last October.

I get the same, but mostly a nuisance.

Well, I have full on GERD. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night with crap coming out your nose. I have to stop eating, anything, late in the evening.

I'm going to the doctor's office today.

Last night about 9:00 or so, all of a sudden, my ear felt like it suddenly got clogged. It wasn't painful, it just felt like it was clogged.

I went out to the local drug store and got some drops, put them in my ear, and then rinsed it out and later went to bed. The clogged feeling is still here, so I'm going to a medical center after work.

I tried that Debrox earwax removal kit the other day because a family friend suggested it might clear up the tinnitus I've been dealing with the past week. An hour after I tried it, I had an earache that hurt worse than the fires of Hell! I went to the hospital right after I saw my provider, and they called it otitis media, and I'm currently taking amoxicillin and am supposed to take a lot of advil and tylenol. I'm on prednisone too, but that was from my PCP not the hospital. Hopefully my PCP will find an ear doctor to refer me to . . . still waiting.
