How are you today?

I'm generally all at sea, but I don't think that's what you were asking. I live on a narrowboat in the Fens in Eastern England - eight and a half years now.

Today, and for the next few days I am living in my van in a field while my boat is sitting in a cradle out of the water for some regular maintenance.

@"marshlander" That's pretty cool, seems like a neat way to live.

It suits me well enough and it's somewhere different for PA to come and spend time too. He seems to enjoy being the ship's cook and I certainly enjoy what he makes! Unfortunately we are still stuck in our own separate countries at the moment.

It would be nice....

Did more pouring today, bought the stuff to mix in with the paint and following their instructions I think it is too thin the paint overmixed... Other than that it's been a good day I think.

A client's house alarm system went off. I have a key and the family normally leaves the code to deactivate the alarm, which is triggered when the door opens. Their (adult) kids got rid of the note, and I didn't know it off the top of my head. So while I was spending extra time looking for it in my notes, it was enough time to trigger the alarm. It was the loudest alarm possible. I'm hearing a full blast tinnitus now. It is truly unbearable. I can't even drown it out with a fan now. I don't know how I can possible go on with it now. There is nothing I can do to escape it. It's been hours and I still hear it, my ears are still in pain.

@Chase Yeah that sucks...I've heard some of the alarms at apartment complexes and well...they will wake you up out of a deep sleep. I would say baseball bat but I wouldn't want you to be liable for property damage? Maybe a walk/drive somewhere for a little bit?

I'm already out of that god forsaken house. I don't care how much money they pay me at this point, I'm never going back there.

I'm grateful the police and home owner's association were nice and didn't give us any trouble, we did disarm it, after all. But I seriously need to sue that fucking alarm company. They fucked up my life, they can't get away with this.
