Electricity problem
#11
Call the city to see if they can turn on the meters for an emergency, since its bad weather, and just add the cost to your future rates ?

I have just recently seen a movie where a woman tried to kill herself by sticking her head in the oven and turning on the gas, but there was no gas. So she opened up the cabinet under the sink and she took coins out of a cup on this coin box....put them in the coin box and then the gas came on.

I had never seen this before. Strange.

Anyway, the woman got interrupted, so she didnt kill herself, but the kitchen exploded...lol

Some charities may help with it.

Have you tried the Citziens Advice service they may be able to help. Or apply for a loan at the credit union they are cheaper than pay day loans.

Where does money come into that relationship written in the law?

You don't have money but you have the right? I am a bit lost. I can't see the necessity to have this written as a law. In my eyes it's a matter of business - offer and demand...

The UK is socialist - its government has all of this money it throws in the right direction, then you pay back the government.

Unlike our capitalist nations where we know that humans have no stinking rights, CEO's and Big businesses have the real rights.Xyxthumbs

Lissales, I'm with Nick. You can make it until Friday. If it's freezing there you don't need to worry about your freezer food defrosting. Put it outside the window and you're good. If you're in an apartment, the building will keep you warm enough to survive. Use clothing and blankets. Your ancestors dealt with much worse. You can do it.

If you are at wit's end, find a church or other organization that can help for a few days. You WILL make it to Friday.

As Friday is a pubic holiday in the UK (Easter Friday) you should get paid on Thursday, so you should be able to top up your utilities key a day earlier than mentioned.

@ Cuddles, you are right in what you say, but this only applies to households within a specific demographic group.

Er, I dont think so BA. The current government is more aligned to your Republican party. I don't believe they are socialists!

We are just as capitalist as every other western democracy.
