I'm in therapy, have been since I was a kid, and I'm several medications. I'm better than I was when I was 13 but it's still hard =(

I am disabled as well. I've got a bit of Asperger's Syndrome. I hate the name. Its an incredibly stupid name for this condition which causes the sufferer to be reclusive, timid, and sometimes unable to communicate with others effectively especially in informal situations. Its a silly name given to it by some egotistical researcher who gave his own name to the condition so that he could be remembered after he passed away.

Its basically a variant of autism. I am not doing a good job of describing the so-called 'symptoms'. Basically in a nutshell I find interaction awkward on occasions and I get nervous when I head out to meet people (work's not an issue though).

Sometimes it can cause tension. I misunderstand people and vice versa and I do not take criticism or personal attacks well at all. However, I'd like to point out that some of the people who have a go at me have their own problems. My boss for example is on a big power trip who is ultra-strict and has a go at you over everything. She's been on my arse since I started working there. There are one or two other examples too but I am too tired to think right now lol!

A bit? I think it is a sort of all or nothing thing! Are you getting support? I know there is a big campaign for employment for autistic people, and I am sure you can access some independent support for the workplace, if this will help you maintain your employment, also wellbeing.
