Considering becomming an escort, need advice! Serious replies only
#11
My advice is don't as well. The sex industry chews you up and spits you out and I've never known anyone in it to fully recover. Yeah work sucks but so does self esteem issues and having to tell your next partner what you did for a living.

My advice: don't do it.

If you really want to do it, make sure you find a secure location (e.g. rent room), always wear a condom and do a lot of research on STD's.

Besides safety issues and the law (laws who needs them, right guys?!!!)

Most of your clients are going to want you to top them. The reality is that there are more bottoms than there are tops in the world. Why that is is a great mystery. When it comes to guys who pay for it, most are going to be bottoms looking for a top-man, most top men are either in a committed relationship or just frankly don't have to pay for it because they can go to a bar and hook-up with incredible easy just by saying 'I'm a top.'

The versatile guys will take one look at your package (8" is fairly large compared to the average 6.25") and will demand you be the top. It most likely will mean that about 80-90% of your clients will bottom while you top.

Can you be a top? Can you climax (cum) more than twice a day? They are paying you for sex and your load - you better be able to deliver that load or you will most likely end up learning what the business end of a baseball bat or a gun can do. A lot of these guys take it very seriously.

You will end up with mostly older to old guys who want to suck a dick or to be 'plumbed' to their very depths. Usually the ones who have given up being that creepy old guy lecherously trying to pick up on the young guys at the bars and clubs.

Most of your clients are going to be unattractive to downright f-ugly - and this is not just a comment about their appearance. A decent chunk are 'ugly' on the inside and will take it out on you, or try too. There is a reason why most are single they are not typically nice people.

Sure, once in a while you will meet a nice, well dressed 'straight' man who is looking for something on the side of his marriage and kids situation and he may be versatile to total top... You most likely will fall for him and most likely will go through a world of hurt being the 'other woman' who he can't and will never leave Wife and kids for. That is actually a fairly common sort of deal - Worker falls for Married Man who can't be a real lover.

I hope you have a very open mind to various forms of depravity and sex. There are a lot of kinky fella's out there who are going to want you to do things like garrote (strangle) them and/or rape them (often at the same time as you are strangling them) or for you to accept a severe rape type situation which often turns ugly because this is abnormal of the BDSM scene where there is lots of communication and a high level of trust before this advanced form of sex is tried.

There is a lot of other things they are going to want, you to rim them, you to piss on them, you to be pissed on - you tie them up and the worst is the risks when they want to tie you down to the bed.... Lots of other potential hazards and lots of kink type things which they usually wait until in the middle of the 'session' to bring it to your attention that they want to fuck you with a rubber duck, or have you take a belt to them and whip them to a frothy, welted bloody mess... it is after all, the only way they can get off.

Drugs are a big part of the deal - and I'm not talking just smoking pot. A lot of the kids on Polk Street back when I did reach out programs to them were heavy into heavy drugs - most were 'turned on' to the drug via a 'client' who introduced them to a drug during a paid session. Crack, Cocaine, Meth, Heroine - serious drugs with serious risks and serious dependency issues once you start using them.

And funding. Again, how many times can you shoot a load a day? The so called 'money shot' is going to be important to a lot of your clients - they are going to want to see you cum, drink you load -whatever. If you can only shoot 2-3 times a day and only charge $50 per session that is only going to be $150.00 per day.

That may sound like a lot... The reality is that finding them willing to pay that much is often going to be difficult, yours is a line of work with lots of competition. Why should I pay you $50.00 to suck you off when I can go to the other side of town and pay only $25 (the price of a quarter gram of meth) to have that other younger, skinny twinky kid with the 10" dick?

Hell Since I can get a bag of meth for $20... All I have to do is wave that in his face and get my $5.00 discount...

Plenty of starving teens in the bad side of town who will accept a BJ for $20.00, a fuck for the low, low price of only $30.00. There is a reason why many of them live in a cheap hotel sharing a single room with 4 other 'boys'...

Can you compete with that? Most likely no.

I believe your 'fantasy' of being a paid sex worker in the industry falls far short of the realities of this industry.

You have this lust fantasy, are new to being gay and most likely are as horny as hell, with no real clue as to how sex in the gay community really works.

But if nothing I said has made you change your mind, or caused you pause I do wish you good luck in that area. You need all the luck you can get.

I'm afraid, even if it's the worst case scenario, much of what Bowyn has written is true. Not a pretty picture, or else, everyone would be doing it, right??? And everyone would think it's fine, as a career.

Thanks so much for your support guys. I have decided to think it through a little more before going through with it. I have been chatting to a really nice older guy through the online chat function on aussierentboys.com.au and he wants to pay me to meet for coffee at a cafe in the city. He just wants to chat and get to know each other to begin with. I think doing something tame like this to begin will help me to make my decision.

I've bought myself a second phone, checked out the legalities in my area (It's not legal but not illegal... so long as it isn't on the streets) and am doing my research as much as I can. Am thinking of having a friend drive me and wait for me too to be on the safe side.

So far I have had a lot of guys message me asking for bareback, I have blocked them all, there is no way I am doing that.

I understand the risks of it damaging my self confidence but at the same time I want to start building a life for myself and I am a very private person usually. I want to be able to save for a deposit on a house and I think this is the best way.

At the moment I have three guys wanting to meet for sex for $150 an hour. Others have offered less but I have ignored those messages. In regards to drug addict twinks offering it cheaper... I guess you get what you pay for, if they aren't screening their clients and are accepting anyone who will throw $20 their way, then no doubt your time spent with them will come with a bonus STD of some sort, if not HIV, and not to mention they would be loose and their faces gaunt from all of the drugs. If I go through with this, I would put my personality into it and sell an entire experience. Not just a $30 fuck in the bushes.

Any other advice guys? These replies are amazing, more than I could have asked for. I really appreciate it!

is there someone offline who you can tell ?
a friend you trust or someone like that. because if you go to meet someone , it would be a really good idea to have someone else know where it is you're going . that way , if something goes wrong they'd be able to (hopefully) do something to help you ~

You know, I wonder if your decision is based on a romantic movie or a book...

Doesn't porn pay more than $150/hr? That price seems low.

Not these days. My brother owns 5% of the largest porn affiliate in Canada, though he is no longer involved directly in any content production, and I've been told by ex-performers that stars these days get next to nothing unless they are majorly famous and based in LA (and the industry is suffering out there). The porn 2.0 stuff has gutted the industry when it comes to performer pay, on top of increased content production from Eastern Europe and Brazil.
