Not that I judge those who do it.
It's just that the last person I want to think about while having sex is my father.

But I do agree that it does have Freudian/Jungian overtones.

It's not your relationship so you don't really have the standing to be creeped out by it. The reason why you're creeped out is because you want to think of parents as asexual beings- That is untrue. Parents have sex lives. Your parents have sex. My parents have sex. Everyone's parents have sex and it's time to stop pretending they don't.

My boyfriend just informed me to never call him daddy during sex. I can see how it can be "creepy." My lesbian friend and I often have discussion on....taboo sexual fantasies, it got brought up when twincest became a fad (or popular one) and there was plenty of brother on brother action in erotic fanfictions...been a while since I talked of lemons! Rofl.

Anyway, the discussion goes on today, we've established there is an erotic level to it but not when it's us with our own family members. She has trouble wrapping her mind around it but I think some things are just kinda erotic BECAUSE they're taboo.

The idea of relating my father to anything sexual is quite unsettling to me, but if my boyfriend would allow it I would be in to calling him daddy it brings no thought to my own father, I actually have a very specific mental persona and appearance of my fantasy "daddy."

I'm not really sure if my take on the whole thing is what's normal or if I happen to be more honest than others.

Referring to a spouse as daddy around children (or cats! lol) is entirely different than when in the bedroom. I think it'd be weird to refer to my significant other with their name when talking to me children so in that setting daddy has a completely different useage.

My grandpa calls my grandma mother a lot of the time and I think it's like a way of showing love and respect to the mother of his children. He's not calling her his mother, he's calling her the mother of their family unit. Or something like that.

I'm afraid I'm a bit hungover, getting sick, and probably pretty dehydrated so if whatever I'm saying makes little sense, believe me I'm not crazy. xD

It's in the connotation I guess. Whatever floats your boat.

I do not call my father "Daddy" and have not done so since time immemorial. For me there's a very clear line of demarcation between "Dad" and "Daddy." With the latter I do not think of my dad. So I can picture slipping it in playfully on occasion. Though not pushing some incest roleplay or anything, since again Daddy =/= Dad. If that makes any sense.

Daddy is a no-no place for me. It brings up too many issues.

I will gladly call my man Sir, Master, Mister and my all time favorite God...

(Oh God, Yes - God - OH GOD!!!).

But not Daddy.

Especially now that I'm 47 - it just too weird to think of myself as a little boy.

If me and an older man had an intimate connection, personally I wouldn't call him daddy. But that's just me.

I wouldn't call my lover daddy. He has, however, introduced me by saying "this is the love of my life, and yes he has daddy issues". Lol. He's older than I am.

If a man found me attractive enough to want to be with me and pay my bills and take care of me......I will call him whatever the hell he wants to be called.

So there!

I couldn't ever do that. I've had guys offer it before, but I need to be working or in school to feel ok with myself.
