More deets about my relationship
#1
I figured that since we're all friends here, I'd share some more things about my lovely boyfriend with you.

He is 62 and I am 19. That's a 43 year age difference. Fortunately, we have a lot in common and we also share the same values in relationships.

We met online and we facetime (Apple's version of Skype) every day but we have yet to meet up in real life. However, we are planning to do so in the near future. I am so thankful for video chat because I know that he is who he says he is and that I'm not getting Catfish'd.

He's a dog person and has a 10-something year old dog named Buster who is a bit fat but is still a cute and sweet dog.

He and I get along really well and we are both willing to go to great lengths to make this relationship work. We understand that sometimes relationships require some serious effort and we are willing to do that.

I really like him. I can't wait to spend the best of my years with him Smile

I wish you all the best.

Be careful though, whatever you say, Facetime is not real life. Wink

Sure. But I think that it's the closest thing possible for people who are unable to meet due to distance.

Good luck with your relationship. I am glad it makes you happy.

Be careful though please, and do consider that a 43 year old age difference is more than just a number -- it's 43 years that you may not get to spend together. It may also feel like someone this experienced will be able to provide you with security and comfort, and if you stay together perhaps this will be true financially, but you will end up in a caretaker role (most adults will become frail in their 80s). There is nothing wrong with this if this is what you truly want, but at the same time you must be aware of this reality.

I hope this goes well for you.

I'm fine with being a caretaker as long as he still loves me.

That's good.

Just keep in mind, like someone already mentioned it, that if
the time came and you had to take care of him, just remember that that'll
be your life.

I'm only 26, and I still believe that there's still a ton of things I have yet
to experience. I hope that he see's that you're still young and that you still
have a lot of things in your life that you need to experience on your own..

best of luck~
