That seems to answer the TOO PUBLIC? question, Bowyn.

I like the first vid solely based on the fact that they were both normal looking guys, and not super models.
Also, I agree a little bit with Bowyn about the publicness of some of the proposals. I don't find it impolite or inappropriate or anything, but if I was planning a proposal, I would feel too embarrassed to ask that many people to stage something big and flashy like that for something so personal. And if I was asked to be a part of someone else's big proposal, I know that the whole time I'm dancing to whatever lame song they picked while the couple looks lovingly into each other's eyes... all I'd be thinking is, "I'd really just rather be home."

All this is actually so new, that we haven't really figured it out yet, have we?
•
New? Haven't people been proposing and marrying for at least the past 2000 years?
Marriage ain't that new... and the mythologies around marriage ain't very new either - wedding bands, wearing white, flowers, vows made to be shattered and broken the first chance some tight ass walks by.....
Hmm yeah that last makes me sound like a pessimist... unfortunately with that statistic that 51% of marriages end in divorce I think its more realistic.
Yes too public... Sure.
