Straight guys and gay sex?

I'm curious, because I see a lot of posts on gay websites that say there is more than gay, bi. straight, and so straight guys into man on man sex ARE straight and.....well, no. Unless being confused is a label to be used. *winks*

One thing I did with some friends over beers a couple years back was search for just an estimate of the the amount of revenue the gay internet porn industry gets from the USA and an estimate of the number of openly gay men in the USA. The bottom line from the flimsy estimates we got was that every openly gay male in the US was spending over $150.00 a month on porn sites OR there are more than just a few million men unaccounted for.

My pay for porn experience is limited to 1 month membership to Sean Cody to see flicks of two marines I knew. I've been a member at gay.com for years but that's not really a porn site for what i use it for.

Agreed. Being who I am, I've talked candidly with many guys and have heard all sorts of things.

Adding a bit to what some people have already said, those who vehemently oppose a certain sexuality are usually repressed. I think there have been some scientific studies on this. Someone post links if you have them.

In my long years of being out, and at the same time talking about sex with scores of straights, one of the things that pissed many of them off the most about some gays was the insistence by them that straights often enjoyed same sex. In the words of a few rather angry straight men and women,

Another straight lady opined that gays who did promote the idea that straights have same sex gave massive amounts of fuel for the fire to the bible thumpers who insist it's a choice.

Why would some straight people (especially bible thumpers) get indignant about a few gays saying some straights occasionally seek out sex with people of the same gender?

Because they know it's true!
People like that believe they can change the truth by killing messengers, burning books and intimidation.

We have two EPIC examples here where I live! Both involve men very active bible thumpers in their separate churches who both spend waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time trying to evangelize hunky men under 30 anywhere and everywhere they happen to meet them.... Both of them won't even look at me, speak at me or come near me... All the old local guys I have coffee with at the cafe know the 2 thumpers are gay...I know they are gay... the police know they are gay... the guys they try to evangelize all know they're gay... BUT if you mention that they're gay to some of their church buddies that go into a screaming rage about it!!!

Actually the people peeved over the idea that you say you're straight even though you have same sex were not bible thumpers, and there were many. I had 40 years to ask them, lol. The bible thumpers LOVED the idea, because it inferred being gay was a choice that could be restricted or cured.

OKAY.... here's how I'm looking at this........

Old men who've have gay sex lives over many decades all seem to agree on this idea of loads of straight men secretly seeking gay men. These older men insist the men they're talking about are not bisexuals. East and Jim both seem to agree with the opinions of the old men in my OP.

Younger guys with sex lives less than a decade all disagree. Even I don't agree with it or understand it which is why I started the thread....

but sorry guys... I'm leaning more towards trusting he wisdom of experience over decades than the best argument put forth so far against them.

But keep on and maybe we can all learn something we didn't know!

In my experience, older gay men tend to have more fantasies of having sex with straight men. Actually you could say a lot of them are obsessed with it. Why? I don't know. But it is definitely a pattern I've noticed.

Also, I don't see what "wisdom of experience" has to do with this. So if you just fuck enough guys, you'll miraculously get the gift of correctly guessing other people's sexuality?

Just look at what you're saying here. This is about men actively seeking and enjoying hot sex with other men. How can you say they're straight? What's that based on? The fact that they're masculine? That they have wifes and kids? That they say they're straight? That they only want quick hookups? ... Are those the things that determine one's sexuality? No. Sexuality is determined by your sexual attraction. If there's no money involved and there are plenty of women around to also choose from, and a man actively seeks sex with another man, then apparently -- whether it's just in that moment or longer -- he is sexually attracted to that man. Otherwise he wouldn't wanna have sex with him; there is something that makes him want to have sex with that man.

It's just so obvious, I don't even know how anyone can argue about this.

Men who are looking for instraight sex are not straight. Period. I get that it's a hot fantasy, but it's just that: a fantasy.
