Problem Solved... Sorta

I think I found away to escape the ruthless and hateful land of Homosexuals that is supposedly called "Home"...
Recently, I found a program for students majoring in French language to go to France (If eligible) and teach Arabic in one of their univs for a full academic yr . So I can apply to that and hopefully when I get accepted I can apply for a masters program while I am there. I am willing to work and study, I have been gathering up info about ppl studying in Europe and I heard that you need to be a full time student in order to "legally" stay there which wouldn't leave me with much hours to work unless I compromise my night time sleep and have night shifts (Which I don't know how that is gonna work out)...
If I was American, I'd apply for student loans and live off of that but my dear country, Jordan. Is too poor to support its abroad citizens, and My parents cannot afford to support me either. So I am basically on my own...

So, Is there anyone who is already doing what I plan to do in Europe or has already done it? I'd really like to have some pointers on how to survive and support myself within an organized time table. Also, is there anyway in which I can make money that doesn't require full time hours??

Sounds like a good idea! Even if you end up not being able to stay in the other country you will have a great experience in the year that you are there and it'll look good on your CV for later.
About finances, maybe you could look for small private scholarship organisations? I know there are people that give out scholarships to students they think deserve a chance. Beside that I don't really have any ideas.. Most things I know of are for people from the EU only, unfortunately.

I was implying more to affording the living cost... Education there is super cheap.. I heard that taxes are expensive.. I am trying to find ways to afford the living cost and settle there lol

Ahh you've got a point there haha. Most people I met here at uni didn't want to work a lot during their first year, because they wanted to focus on uni only. They worked fulltime during the summer and part time during the academic year, most of them are able to pay their rent and buy some food

Does Jordan have anti-gay laws on the books? Maybe there are scholarships or programs specifically to help LGBT people re-establish themselves in safer situations. Someone I know works for this organization but I think they are focused mainly on places where LGBT are actively persecuted, I don't know if that applies to Jordan or not. Might be worth a dig though.

I am sorry, but I find that last question very amusing, probably because we are from very different generations as gay men, but to answer truthfully, yes there are ways to make money with out working full time when you are a young gay man: porn or escorting (what we used to call "hustling" back in the day...).

1_ the further you are from the capital and big cities, the cheaper are the living costs; for example, in Bordeaux (southwest) you'll need about 800€/month to survive, which is relatively cheap compared to the living expenses in Paris;
2_ the maximum time allowed for full time students to work in France is 20 hours/week, so don't worry you can work all days and still rest at night;
3_ living in college dorms, or with roommates will make it much more affordable, as you share the expenses.

And since you can't afford much, French universities are your best bet as they are the cheapest in Europe, so I recommend you to look for all available options there.

Also, after you get your visa, make sure to apply for both a residence and a job before taking the plane. This will make it much easier for you as you're planning for everything and won't face any potential difficulties.

If any, search for scholarships offered to students of your country.

But most important, keep your grades as high as possible, and be convinced of your own ambitions. This is a precious key for universities to accept you.

I've read news abt this country prohibiting gay tourists to come here... and threatening that if they did... they will have to face the death penalty or smth.. so yea, Jordan is a big homophobic country... The capital is kinda more open abt homosexuality but the rest of the country is a dead end for gay ppl who r "Out there"

OMG!!! YAAYYY.. Finally got a fucking good answer... THank you so much... I have thought about that before and I was thinking to go for nice or bordeaux like yours... so I did think abt dorm options... roommates and what not but i was still scared cuz the twenty hours wouldn't be enough.. 800 euros is rlly cheap like u can get that from a watering job and educatoin there is cheap too... ughh i cannot wait to get the hell out of this hole...
