FWB situation in high school - really need some advice

You cant push anyone to be where you are emotionally if they are not surrounded by similar circumstances. You are about 100 feet ahead of your friend in your personal development and have more independence and emotional stability then him. This freedom and support allows you to consider the possibility of having a gay "relationship" in your life. Your friend is just not there yet and probably wont be for some time. Try to find someone that's where you are in their personal growth and things will be much easier, much better.
