Finally Moved Away From Home... and Hating It.
#21
I had no idea Anonymous could be multiple peeps. Is this common in places like this? It seems pointless when people come here looking for advice. Getting to know someone helps with how you advise, don't you think?

So I'm the anonymous poster.

I made them anonymously because I'm embarrassed. I feel too old to be having these problems. Living at home has been a constant source of shame for me.

When I have some time to breathe I'm going to address everyone's posts because I feel very grateful to have people offer such caring advice. School starts tomorrow and I'm working 40 hours a week. Everything's very crazy right now.

As far as being responsible for some other anonymous posts concerning my home/family life... it's entirely possible I made them, but I'm not sure. Keeping track of how much I complain and to whom would be a full time job.

Wade - I stick by advice from my perspective of what you wrote ... if you are sad then go where you are happy - that's what it breaks down to for me

Hey Wade, thanks for letting us know a little bit more about how things are going for you. Hope school goes well for you this term.

Here's a pretty good method for house cleaning when living in community. Get a stack of 3 x 5 cards. Write everyone's name on a separate card. Put stack of cards in a prominent place. When your name is on the top of the stack, it's your turn to clean house. When you finish cleaning house, you put your card on the bottom of the stack. The next guy's name is on the top of the stack. After he cleans he puts his card on the bottom of the stack. If you have 5 people in the house, you should find your name on the top of the stack only about every 5 weeks or so. Everyone contributes to the chore equally without setting a rigid schedule, peace reigns in the household, and ever so often you enjoy a clean house.
