"Straight Acting"
#31
s13ep Wrote:You guys just want you hole filled in.

Didn't read anyway, read the first line and realized it was self/sex-induced drivel. Go on Grindr and try it on with some 'straight-acting', see what replies you get - but you're already used to that, right? lol

Congratulations! You have officially been written off as a complete and utter ASS and not worth the air it would take to reply, nor the energy it takes to continue reading your hate-monger BS.

*Hits ignore on your ass.*

PS: You see that big ass dude up there named Gideon ? That's mine. Has been for 7 years now and counting. And all I had to do to get him (and keep him) was be myself. Maybe you should try it sometime. Because it's glaringly obvious the "straight acting" bullshit you're touting isn't working for you so far.

*Flips you the bird on the way out.*

When I'm in the world, I act as any straight man does. Of course my story is a little different. I have always been gay, but growing up in the 70's,80's I was really under pressure that to be gay was wrong, so I grew up learning how to act like a man. Its sort of a natural acclimation. But deep inside, even while dating girls, I was always attracted to guys. But you kept these things repressed. So I had small affairs here and there and was discreet about it. Now that I am much older, times have changed and he social stigma that used to accompany someone that was queer is almost gone. The extremely right wing religious family members are gone as well of most of the friends I used to know. So I decided to come out. I have made new friends and I am much happier inside and out. I have even started to care for my appearance more and let my feminine creative side explode! In Public, yeah, I still act masculine. Old habits die hard, But I proudly wear my pride pendant on a silver necklace everywhere I go, and I listen to the music I really like, house/techno, and I just bought these beautiful male symbol earrings and a wonderful bracelet. So anyone that sees the pendant and knows what it means, knows how I am, and I usually get a lot of acceptance. Those who don't know what it means are probably better off not knowing, probably for both our sakes. But I tell you , it sure feels good to be free here in Southern California.Multijump

I'm a greedy fucker, man. I wouldn't -accept- anything less than you being all that you are, exactly as you are

and why be concerned with labels? straight-acting, campy, masculine...yada yada yada

like what several people mentioned already, just be yourself. don't be too hung up on labels. there's way more interesting facets to focus on than merely being "straight-acting."

At the end of the day, who gives a shit? If a man wants to dress up as a woman then what's the problem? It's not something that's really for me personally but does it affect me? No. So it doesn't bother me.

I prefer no word-association with femininity of my gender too, so I'd prefer not to be part of the circle via the masculine and feminine enmity.

I rarely even call myself "gay" or talk about gay stuff to my friends, I keep it private or relationship based. it's good that you exist somewhere, but because most of the time masculinity is needed, for we cannot be childish to survive as a population, I'm honest. My attitude is different, I'm a different spec that needs to be included in the system...

I'm fluent as a character and not dazed, so I act as a normal person would, masculine-gendered, and masculine-feminine minded- not one or the other.

I think the main issue is that bolded portion. It's not neutral but attacking the "other" saying their not "normal" and lack "character."

i didn't want to get into this because the whole thread is so ignorant and ridiculous, the OP so unambiguously childish (how's that for the pot and the kettle) and naïve i'm not even sure why anybody would respond to him.

he has the special snowflake syndrome. not gonna cure that with words or arguments. don't get sucked into this guys. just laugh it out like you would a child who climbs on a motorcycle to go for a ride with it (for example).

urbandictionary.com Wrote:When confronted with an individual suspected of harboring Special Snowflake Syndrome, one's best course of action is to run away. Further attempts at educating the carrier on the reality of their condition (e.g., quoting Tyler Durden: "You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else.") will likely prove futile, and potentially hazardous to the informer.

Huh i only ever saw the phrase "straight acting" on anonymous hook up sights. Often posted by guys that want to cheat on their wives.

"Straight acting" is childish.
