Back in my 20's when I was constantly dating & trying to meet people off the internet gay.com, aol, etc I learned real quick, to only meet for coffee.

Why coffee? Coffee is cheap and quick.

Before I learned that lesson, I actually met a guy, sight unseen, for lunch one time. Turned out he was not my type at all. Not remotely attractive to me. The pic he used on his profile was not him! Like a dumbass I ordered food and had to wait for the meal - make conversation w/ a troll that lied about everything. And then to top is all off... guess who got stuck with the bill?

Me - and I was younger at the time!

With coffee, we could have a quick chat, if we found each other attractive we could hook up. If not - no loss, no long uncomfortable meal together, no getting stuck paying or thinking maybe I could / should just sneak out the back before the food or waitress comes...

Here's a tip for you - if you find yourself attracted to the other guy and it seems he feels the same way to you, make the next move. Say something crazy like...

So you want to go and get naked?
Nice shoes... wanna F__?
