I need to lose weight, but I'm close to give up

A few years back I was unhappy with the weight that I was and decided to make small changes to my food habits, at the time I was working a job where I was on my feet and walked 2 miles each way to and from work so you could say that I was pretty active.

I stopped myself eating more then 1 snack (which had to be small) each day and ate 3 meals a day, I also cut down on drinking any sugary drinks as they were the biggest calorific intake for myself. In 2 months I'd lost 28 lbs and was massively proud of myself but it was definitely too quick to lose that kind of weight.

Later down the line I met with my now partner and as we're both big foodies I've gone higher then the weight I was before. I keep saying I'll change my eating habits but so far its been all talk.
