Why are you investing so much thought and feelings towards someone who did not invest as much in you?

Hmm the only thing then left is you really have not enough love for yourself, the love you were getting from this guy you have for yourself within you , that is were you need to look

Well, it takes as long as it takes. It might happen faster if you admit the situation you're in.

-You still love him.
-It's okay that you still love him.
-You can't be with him.
-It's okay you can't be with him.
-You think about him a lot.
-It's okay to think about people you love. It's pretty normal.

In the average month I think about every ex I've ever had. I don't contact any of them, nor do I want to. But I shared a lot of good times with each them and learned a lot along the way. I don't obsess over any of them, but I send good thoughts their way.

When you think of your ex, in your mind wish him the best, and move on. Struggling not to think of him is thinking of him. If you start following your thoughts about him, then you are back in the mindstream that isn't serving you. You think of him, you wish him well. That's a fine place to be.
