The fuck is wrong with people these days? It is weird people in the south often do seem backwards at times but you seldom ever see that sort of behavior here. I mean I know there are a lot of good people but to think that people would shove a guy down who's on crutches is fucking enraging as hell...

Anyway, I was thinking the similar as well but I didn't want to default to that, thinking surely that's not the case as I do experience that as well but... I suppose people suck just about everywhere...

I agree about the South. The best I was ever treated by total strangers was in a tiny town of Crawfordville, GA - Awesome people!

Not to buy stuff lol, it's a basic matter of paying my tuition while keeping a roof over my head and food in the fridge. But as for what you said about socializing, I'm incredibly lucky because I stumbled into some people who are amazing. This gay couple, every Sunday they just sort of open their house to friends, friends of friends, etc. There's always plenty of food, usually a game on, guys bring wives or girlfriends (or the occasional bf), lots of kids running around. When I said once I needed to spend some time with my mom, the response was, Bring her. That's another thing, people who do socialize seldom do it outside of their peer group, and it's cool to be around so many people of different ages and backgrounds. Some weeks, this is my only social activity lol. I wish people in general could just relax a bit.

I find that a good portion of my friends have family commitments that don't allow them to socialize as much anymore.

Then again, Like Gemini - we do have a good Gay / Straight social group that gets together almost weekly for dinner or dinner and a movie night. We rotate who hosts the get togethers and potluck the meals (everyone brings food). My partner and I are really lucky to have such a great group of friends that frequently get together. We are probably the youngest of the group (in our 40's).

Only issue there is at some point we're worried that our older friends are going to start passing on - which would be really sad.

Also trying to get people together is a farce. This weekend we managed to go out for a nandos, and i hear snippets of things where they have done stuff without me. I kinda wonder why i bother with them really!

Im 29, making friends isnt easy i dont think! Otherwise i would run out and make new ones lol

Im serious you guys have to join a club, you can meet some great people with similar interests, [MENTION=24086]MysticStar[/MENTION] Im not sure about your physical situation, but you could join the army its a very easy way to make friends and from what I heard your military is very gay friendly.
