whats the last movie you watched
Finally got around to watching Rear Window and Schindler's List. I liked them both quite a lot. The latter was insanely well made but a little bit too sentimental for my tastes. I'd have preferred it if they'd removed the final scene completely. Other than that it was really quite amazing though and Rear Window is my favourite Hitchcock film so far!

Its funny you said its a little too sentimental, a director of another film, said exactly the same thing, its because the whole thing was so utterly terrible, beyond words, and steven spielberg tried to make it a story of human triumph, when humanity can never come to terms with it, i see the point, but it is a masterly film and true! Spielberg said if he made it again it would be an hour longer (as he read another book about oskar schinderler.

Last movie I watched was based on a recommendation over Oblivion. I saw The Place Beyond The Pines. Great acting, but I didnt quite understand the point of it. Sure, Ryan Gosling has a HOT body, and Bradley Cooper is just GORGEOUS!

I love this movie! Between this and the Aristocats, I get my life every time Imu2 .

I'm such a sucker for romance... even animated. Smile

I just finished the 1972 Soviet adaptation of Solaris.

Well even though I STILL don't understand Solaris, I am convinced of its genius.

But it is so frustrating... I have read the translated book and watched both film adaptations. It is so complex for me... >.< Now I have to reread the book, then rewatch this movie.

That one's actually high up on my "to watch list". Now I'm getting more hyped up since someone else mentioned it D:

Definitely watch it. It's very well made, but you must pay attention, it's easy to miss things in Solaris... which I learnt the hard way when I read the book...

I just watched Suspiria. Okay, well now I have a headache... and woah okay. O_o
The best way to describe it would be, it disorientated me most beautifully.

But i did get distracted by the dubbing, it just doesn't sound quite natural enough, I know that's how it was made due to the circumstances, but it just threw me off a tiny tiny bit.

I know what you mean, the dubbing can get sort of frustrating. My favourite part about Suspiria is probably how it looks and sounds - everything else is actually pretty flawed.

I just watched 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. It was pretty good but not as good as I had anticipated. Courtroom scene was awesome.
