After Earth

A story which actually takes place after simple rules of science were tossed out the window by the universe or God and Evolution becomes as believable as Creationism - no, less believable.

I'm still sitting here trying to figure out how such a lush, subtropical landscape can actually survive nightly 'winters' of snow and ice. Further trying to figure out how Evolution just decided to go all bat-shit crazy and leap forward in just a short 1000 years to produce giant birds that can survive in a low oxygen atmosphere. Oxygen level so low that one of the human characters has to use a special liquid to increase his uptake in oxygen. how that damn bird breaths is a mystery, how it oxygenates enough to fight off hyenas and fly is a greater mystery.

The langoliers for about the 50th time, i just love this cheap ass made-for-tv production of my favourite stephen king novella ever, i loved the book, i didnt want it to end, then i found the film on an an old vhs, i just love it.

the past is empty, flat, lifeless... then the langoliers come... get ready for some really bad special effects when they do and a really corny soppy ending.
