Just watched Oblivion (2103) - like 15 minutes ago.

It actually had a story and didn't appear to blatantly defy the laws of science...

It also wasn't all CGI porn, there was a story and the producer allowed the writer to tie up the loose strings.

Still uncertain how whole cities got buried and the buildings remain intact... Nevertheless, considering everything else that is churned out as science fiction, there really was a decent amount of science to this fiction. Asimov, Clarke and Heinlein might actually be happy with this one.

Sadly like all movies of this kind, the ending was horrific. Spoiler Alert

The Master

I'm not too sure what to think about this one. I've seen every movie Paul Thomas Anderson has made and I love them all, but Jaoquin Phoenix's character was so disgusting and repulsive that it hindered my ability to appreciate the movie, in spite of Philip Seymor Hoffman's presence.

Even Daniel Day Lewis' character in There Will Be Blood was relatable or sympathetic to some degree... in a sick, severely misanthropic way.

Watched ParaNorman recently (ever notice how all these stop-motion films are spooky/Halloween-themed? PN, Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, Frankenweenie, etc?) I'd give it a light to decent 6 out of 10. The visuals were great, especially at the end with Norman trying to "talk it out" with the little girl's spirit.

Behind the candelabra

I loved this film, I would never have seen Michael Douglas in role like this in a million years but he shines playing Liberace and has brought an amazing character alive I knew little or nothing of before, and Matt Damon is great as his young lover, it is a twisted love story though it is a love story and I found it funny and sweet and real and at the end there was a tear in my eye.

HALLOWEEN:

I wanted to see again this movie since years! I watched it (IT!) when I was a kid, and Pennywise might be one of the scariest movie character ever! Yesterday when I start watching the film I was afraid and anxious but I didn't felt...the bad terror! XD Only a little bit. XD

"Notorious" (the Alfred Hitchcock movie, not the one about Biggie Smalls).
