wouldlikemuscle Wrote:Talking of clothes shopping... that reminded me... AussieBum are offering free shipping on orders from their site with the promotional code AUSBUM at the checkout... think it finishes 23rd August?? Saw a rather sexy email from them whilst at work today... beach scene.. hot guy baring his ass knee deep in water!!

Trust you Wink
Hehe thanks for letting us know though!
Mine went on Bench stuff. Ian picked up a tshirt and a couple of shirts for work. i know that he is in his overdraft so he'd be charged for his, so I whacked his on with mine on the card... But yeah, it's all in the aid of love Wink hehe!

Ah yes WLM, that post is conducive to helping people STOP spending!!! Rolleyes

Smurlos - thanks for the hug dude. I get what you mean. Does your other half ever offer to pay? Can he afford to pay? Could you do things that would help you stop paying out, eg when you meet for lunch do a romatic (or not if you're not that way inclined) picnic. Doesnt have to be sweaty cheese sarnies, think of something different. Will still cost a bit but not as much as ready made.

Yes I lurve Peace of cake. The cinema used to have it (it was my cinema treat!!) but now they have stopped. Their equivalent is the low fat stuff, not as good but at least its low fat.

The downside of buying ice cream is that I have no freezer so I tend to eat it all in one go otherwise I have to risk putting it in the horsebox freezer, which often breaks, cant risk wasting ice cream!!!

But at least they would be spending LESS by knowing that promo code!! AmIRite or AmIRite!

However.. to contribute to the money saving.. I would advise a click to the moneysavingexpert site - tonnes of money saving tips there!! Plus cashback sites... got £90 from a cashback site a couple of months ago for using that site to buy stuff I was gonna buy anyway!! Coolio!

Awww yeah he always pokes his card in before I get to and stuff all the time bless him. I'm just like that though, I prefer to pay. But yeah, see that's the thing. He doesn't like to stay in? So like even if we just go for a walk... we drive to Southend seafront or summat and so that uses petrol? (most of the time he drives though) or we go to the cinema or out for a drink - see a drink, even that costs ya like £6 nowadays and it only takes up an hour or two... I like to stay in not every day, but say once a week? Watch a movie - or rent a movie - make a pizza at home, that kinda thing. But not really what he likes... not sure why. *shrugs* Oh well.

As for peace of cake not being done anymore, argh yeah it's so annoying! Our cinema did it and Tesco sold the big tubs? Now all I can get it from is our work's vending machine at £2 for a tiny pot... daylight robbery! I might complain to B&J's!!!! The low fat stuff tastes manky, I hate oatmeal cookie dough BRING BACK PEACE OF CAKE AND ITS YUMMY CHEESECAKE BASE!!! *lights torches to go on the rampage with penny*

BiPenny, I think Albert would agree with me that you sound like our kind of girl, but are almost certain not to receive an invitation to tea if we perceive a threat to our Häagen-Dazs stash Wink Did you realise we can't buy Belgian Chocolate flavour in France?!!!

Re Ben and Jerry's ... as an old hippy I'm lifelong fan of Cherry Garcia, although Chunky Monkey and Fossil Fuel are definite challengers.

THANKS ALL

Being way after midnight so feeling great - me thinks I hate the sun but connecting with my matey really helps Scatter

sleep will be coming soon and it will be a busy one - meeting with one of my great docs and gonna try to push him to try some experimentation - the rat lover in me just wants to know what those little guys go thru.

at least will be able to get on the bicycle for a bit so will be feeling real good with that...

I have to say its only really the strawberry stuff you have to hide from me!!! And vanilla if there's something to go with it (mmmm treacle sponge). I tried Cherry Garcia when the cinema stopped doing Peace of Cake, liked the ice cream but the dark chocolate is a bit tart for me. I do like to steal the chocolate fish from phish food tho, my workmate Phil has phish food and gives me the fish from it (often when he finds one in a mouthful of ice cream, yes we are mingers!!!)

France is an odd place for food anyway!! Wink

Marshlander and PA, I seem to be finding a few kindred spirits on here. Bighug Bighug
