Just would like to share.
A guy approached me when I was waiting for a train at KLCC transit station heading back to my office.
"When did the last train arrive?" He asked.
"...Short while ago. I think 5 to 10 minutes." I answered politely.
"Why weren't you in the train?" He asked again.
"Um...because I was too late to catch it..." I though the question was a bit silly.
He grinned. "I didn't Bruno Mars is in Malaysia!"
Oh, brother ...
"You look very dapper and all. Wearing bow tie..." He continued.
"Thanks...it's how I wear to work." I smiled.
"Where are you from? Are you from Philippines?" He asked.
"No, I'm a Malaysian..."
"But you don't look and sound like a Malaysian...you have a slang."
"Oh...that's probably because I was born outside of Malaysia. I was born in Indonesia." I think that was the answer myself. My friend from Ireland once mentioned that I still have Indonesian slang. i probably picked up my slang from there.
"No, couldn't be...because I have friends from Indonesia..." He wasn't convinced.
"Okay...so maybe because I studied in international school so I probably picked up from there..." I was getting slightly annoyed being interrogated by this man.
"Could be...so where do you work? What do you do?" Question after another question was given to me.
"I work as a designer in a council not far from here..."
"...Great! ... I work as a clerk." He smiled at me.
"Okay..."
"There! You paused ... when I said I work as a clerk. Like it's not an amazing job or something..." He claimed.
"I did not."
"Yes, you did. But it's okay. Everyone does that when they found out that I'm a clerk." He went.
I was officially irritated.
For unknown reason, I didn't ask him to leave me alone despite feeling annoyed by him. We continued our conversation.
The train arrived. He insisted me to step into the train before him. That was nice.
Then we continued to chat.
"So how old are you anyway?" He asked.
"...I'm 32."
"22..." He nodded. "...Wait...32???"
"Yep."
"But you look so young...what's your secret?"
I really thought he was going to discontinue with whatever he's planning to do after I told him that I'm 32 because he was shocked but I guess he was still interested.
"Erm...I guess I'm active in sports...gym..."
He smiled. "Yeah. I can see that with your chest...I used to train but now I'm overweight" He patted his tummy several times.
"It's normal. You look fine to me." I assured him.
We went on talking until the train reaches his station. He gently touched my shoulder. "I'll see you around..."
And that was it. lol
I was irritated because he was too on-your-face and too eager but he seems like a nice guy. I'll talk to him if I see him again.
