Your boyfriend gave you permission and it was rigtht in front of him. I can't see this as cheating.

Problems:
1. Your boyfriend made a mistake in telling you to do it.
2. You actually did it.

Solutions:
1. Apologize to your boyfriend and never do it again.
2. Have a serious sit-down with one another and talk about the coming out situation. Make it a realistic possibility. Consider the consequences of certain people finding out. Then, consider the things that go well and act from there. You know your friends/family better than I do. Remember, people that dislike you for being gay/bi, aren't people you want to be around to begin with.
