Eating healthy and getting back in shape

Motivation for diet.

You keep eating the way you are you are going to have a massive heart attack at age 45, then 5 years later your are going to stroke out and be a near vegetable.

And you will just keep swelling up fatter and fatter until everyone looks at you with disgust...

Are you motivated yet?

If that doesn't scare you or make you feel angry to do something, nothing will really motivate you.

Life isn't easy - in fact like is down right hard, and if you want to have a better body then you need to grab that bull by the horns and wrestle it down.

No one can 'motivate' you to eat vegetables. you buy them from the store, or raise them in your back yard - YOU put them on your plate - YOU shove them in your mouth, chew and swallow.

Any excuse to not buy veg, not put them on your plate, not put them in your mouth is a stupid excuse - well beyond 'I'm allergic too ______'

You make these choices and always choose the bad stuff - that is on you. Now you need to start choosing the right stuff, or just shut up and stop complaining about how fat you are going to be, or how hard it is to walk up a flight of stairs with out huffing and puffing, or complaining o the ER doctor about how painful your chest is when you are having that massive coronary... or drooling after that massive stroke at age 50.....

The advice for motivate yourself is that with a better body everything is better, the health, the energy, the self confidence etc...

You can exercise at home by watching some videos on Youtube.

Taebo Exercise Billy Blank combines cardio and body workout. Very good for burning fat and body shape. Take a look at it!

There is nothing wrong with enjoying life, unless you are a bodybuilder or taking a body fit contest. The key is to get control and make sure that the output must be greater or at least equal to the input.

I guess to add to this, I also have some unhealthy habits in general. I don't get out much, which I want to change. If I'm not working, I'm usually just inside watching Youtube videos, playing video games, or watching Youtube videos about video games. Hell, even when I am hanging out with my friends, we always just play a game together. Since I don't have much time for gaming and browsing Youtube during the day when I work, I'm always staying up super late to make up for that time. Like, up until 5am and sometimes even later. Then I sleep from then to around 1pm or 3pm, depending on when I go in for work (which is usually 2pm or 4pm), and repeat. I usually don't have time for breakfast. My parents are saying I have really bad sleeping habits and I need to go to bed earlier. The thing is, I'm always doing that stuff late at night because that's when everyone's already sleeping and the only real time I have all to myself. It's kind of hard to give up...but I guess it is a little unhealthy. Right?

Everyone have their own biological cycle. Do you feel ill or headache all this time? If not, then you have no problem. Human do need rest, and the duration doesn't matter. If you sleep 2 hours a day, and you feel fresh when waking up, it's enough for you. What matters is quality.

Sometimes our mindset overrides our feeling which causes psychosomatic illness. Many articles say you need 6-8 hour sleep time, and because of this, we become very cautious when we lack sleep. Two hours quality of sleep is enough, I say.

Breakfast is not always in the morning. If your last meal is at 2 am, then your breakfast can be anytime, so long as it is your first meal. I refer this to 'break' and 'fast'. The time between last meal before going to bed and the first meal after waking up is considered 'fasting'. Thus, the first meal is called breakfast.

No need to worry much about it. So long as your body has nutrition for energy, you will be alright. Just watch your body signal. Once you feel exhausted, take a rest. Once you feel starving, have a meal. I currently accustom myself to do fasting everyday. I only drink plain water for about 14-18 hours a day, and have a meal once and one light snack in the remaining time.

I've occasionally fasted just because I'm lazy and my body wasn't asking for food. There are conflicting views on it, but aside from the insulin response you can get from your body there isn't really anything that bad that I can see from it. As long as you are getting your required energy, nutrients etc.

It probably isn't the healthiest option, but I can't justify that, I'm not a doctor.

Neither am I. Some say, fasting will only make you hunger, which in turn will make you eat whatever in front of you. The key is control.

And I'm also not a bodybuilder. Thus, this might not be suitable for them.
