How do you feel about meeting people IRL that you've met online ?

I did it. Probably the most nerve wracking thing I've ever done. It was a quickey one night stand at like one am. I was terrified, but I went through with it, and everything was cool.

Meeting up offline with people on here? I'd definitely be nervous, I haven't really met anyone who knew I was gay and vice-versa. I DID meet some people online and later ended up meeting them offline and we've all become best of friends though. There was that initial awkwardness but that eventually disappeared, I'm guessing it'd be the same with people on here. So I'm all for it! Once I know you online well enough, why not meet up offline?

I am okay with it. I've only done it... maybe 8 times total. I'm always nervous, but it's mostly butterflies about the guy himself because I think I like him so much. I don't ever meet to have sex. I have met a couple of them with hopes to... mess around a bit, though.

...Now that I'm thinking about it, several of the guys i've met fell really hard for me, but we are still 'online friends' today. Also, a couple of them I fell really hard for. Those ones, I don't keep in touch with as much. hehe interesting.

What I like about this site is that it is nice to meet people from here and not have any delusions about expectations of sex! I have met a couple of people and would love to meet more of you, because it's just fun to sit and chat for a few hours, put a face to the name and get to know the man (or the woman) behind the keyboard. Of course I met PA as a result of an e-mail friendship and we have been partners for several years now, but Sabrina on this list and her lovely family have become firm friends to us both. PA and I have met MarkGVA several times when we have invited him over for a meal and I greatly enjoyed meeting Sudanese a couple of times recently in London. This is a marvellous opportunity to learn about experiences of other people from other parts of the world. I learned so much about Sudan that never hits the news and feel very enriched by these contacts.

I pass through London most months, so if anyone fancies meeting for a chat and a coffee pm me. No doubt Starbucks needs more customers
