Well you asked for advice on a public forum.

Your right I don't know you, and neither I suspect does anyone else on this forum.

Your opening statement was that your life started falling apart in March...and that your soon heading home for the summer. "College educated life falling apart" seemed to fit the bill.

Let me paraphrase my advice for you.

Get out of the wallowing in self pity phase, and life will get better.

If you don't like my advice you can always take a hike, gay or otherwise

I think OBW was only saying that you shouldn't sit around letting your emotions fester; that you should put yourself out there and make some new friends. Sort of a "tough love" approach. I'm sure he wasn't being judgemental, or critical of you, rather trying to pump you up to take action.

^ agreed about that, but I don't see where the OP referenced his sexuality at all, minus mentioning his boyfriend. There's really nothing in his main post to indicate that he defines himself by his sexuality. Not sure where that assumption came from. Aside from that, I agree with OBW's overall point, which is bitching and moaning will get you nowhere. Go out, do things. There's no reason to sit home all summer and mope.

Do not let yourself get down or depressed.
Find things what you like to do life and engage in them.You are still very young so plenty of time to make new friends and meet someone special again , and remember you have always got people to talk with on here.
