What was I thinking?

marshlander Wrote:Well, it's either
a) pet rabbit on full heat, or
b) easing up a bit, or
c) writing it all down in a letter and hand delivering it followed by a tactical withdrawal.

There are only so many times you can do the apology thing before one has to question the reasons for the lack of response ...

Mind you (I think I'm getting into the swing of this now Wink ) how about making up lots of signs with appropriate slogans and acting like the Phelps rabble, by camping outside his house, until
a) he feels he has to talk to you
b) he calls the police
c) the neighbours set their dogs on you, or

Make him a cd compilation of songs that express what you want to say and delivering it with a bunch of flowers

Maybe this is getting out of hand. Not knowing the facts I've probably over-simplified but, Dan, he has a choice as to answer you or not. You are giving him plenty of opportunities ... If he doesn't really want to lose you he is playing a risky game.

Funny, that, Marsh, as I was thinking the exact same thing about the flowers and the letter... I think, writing it all down in a letter or e-mail (although the hand delivery makes sure he's received it) would make things perfectly clear on how you messed up and now realise that you have abused his trust but are willing to try again to be better. You've obviously learnt a lesson the hard way. I like the idea of the proof of love, even if it sounds terribly kitsch, the flowers or the box of chocolates, or something else that he loves, would be the ideal token of your caring. Then the tactical withdrawal so he can have time to process what he feels and what he feels for you. Are you worth keeping as a boyfriend and lover or are you disposable? At this point in time you cannot make any demands and there is only so much apologising you can do (as Marsh said).

May I be so bold as to ask what the angry text was about? or said? Yes, I think if he's bothered to send even an angry text, he's not cut all ties with you. Give him some more time...
