Putin Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Russia's Vladimir Putin Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize

President Vladimir Putin has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, according to director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute Geir Lundestad. The announcement on Wednesday comes at an awkward time as Russia currently stands accused of invading Ukraine, something most people recognize as one of the most un-peaceful things a leader can do.

Voice of Russia notes that the nomination had likely been submitted back in October, when Putin had just acted as a main figure in the deal to disarm Syria of its chemical weapons. This didn't take into account that Putin was also providing Syria with conventional weapons, but such is the way the Nobel Peace Prize works. It's a system much like the Pulitzer Prize, where it's actually surprisingly easy to get nominated for the award and often doesn't really mean anything.

In order to secure a spot on the list, essentially all that's required is for a group or individual who falls under the broad criteria set by the Nobel Committee to formally submit your name and good deeds. The committee then selects from these nominations, but takes no responsibility for the pool of candidates they choose from. This process has resulted in some truly terrible people being proposed over the years, including but not limited to: Joseph Stalin (twice), Adolf Hitler (as a protest), and Rush Limbaugh. Putin was also nominated last year and faced similar criticism as today.

While the Nobel Committee has made some controversial picks in the past, including Henry Kissinger, it's highly unlikely Putin will get the nod for the prize. Instead, the announcement acts as a sounding off point for all the many reasons Putin shouldn't win, as well as a reminder that despite the many incredible people who have won the award, we might put too much emphasis on the tiny cabal of Norwegians that annually crowns the best person in the world.

Apparently they just give these things away like free toys now.

  Ukraine

What do you think about current situtation in Ukraine? I think it's a crucial moment for gay community around the world. as well Poland changed rapidly after entering EU and the situation here is getting better every day. I think that Ukraine is the next step forward to spread tolerance towards east. Maybe Russian will follow their neighbours and one day revolt against dictatorship. However, I doubt Ukraine can handle it without help from other countries.

  Concerned Idiots For Death
Posted by: Chase - 02-23-2014, 09:56 PM - Forum: World-News-Forum - Replies (7)

Sorry, I meant "Concerned Women for America."

Concerned Women for America are a self-described conservative Christian women's activists group of the United States of America.
While the USA may be a great, intellectual, country (no rebuttals to that statement shall be welcome in this thread), we unfortunately have a few, evil barbarians, that infest our country.
Concerned Women for America, despite their Orwellian Newspeak sounding title, are among those barbarians.
Apparently, despite the fact that some of the USA's founders like Benjamin Franklin were scientists, that doesn't stop a "conservative" from denouncing the Age of Enlightenment as evil.
According to Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America, the scientific revolution caused the holocaust:

Quote:“You know, the Age of Enlightenment and Reason gave way to moral relativism. And moral relativism is what led us all the way down the dark path to the Holocaust… Dark periods of history is what we arrive at when we leave God out of the equation.”
*
* http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/05/02/fo...holocaust/

Of course, the scientific revolution is what stopped the previous holocaust that was burning people, mostly women, at the stake for imaginary crimes such as witchcraft. Even more ironic, the Jews today are well known for Nobel Prizes in scientific contributions. But hey, she said that on Fox News, what do you expect?

Recently, Concerned Women for America have criticized President Barack Obama for condemning the anti-lgbt legislation in Uganda. This bill in Uganda imprisons those who merely speak out against homophobia, but I guess "conservatives" don't want to conserve Freedom of Speech.
Originally, the bill was to KILL us, but after much pressure, they're just going to give homosexuality a life imprisonment term. Here's something straight from their website:
Quote:Uganda, the nation that has led the world in the fight against AIDS and HIV infections with its abstinence-based program, is taking on a new challenge. The predominantly Christian nation is taking a biblical and cultural stand against the radical homosexual agenda. Dr. Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow and Director of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, shares more on this courageous action and the impact it will likely have on the sensibilities of some liberal westerners.

So, I just thought I'd remind y'all that there are multimillion dollar run interest groups that are actively trying to destroy us. There are other non-female based interest groups like CWFA but these idiots finally used blunt language in their bigotries.
Thoughts on these idiots?

  Wall St 1% in drag!!!!!
Posted by: Chase - 02-19-2014, 10:07 PM - Forum: World-News-Forum - Replies (2)

I feel like this all fake, that it is an elaborate hoax, that in the next coming weeks lawsuits will be filed and the New York Magazine will admit it lied. Yet at the same time, those audio recordings of billionaires singing parodies, those pictures of young investors in drag dancing around super-powerful Plutocrats telling homophobic jokes, it just gives me this feeling as if I'm watching a cartoon, I don't know.
Other news sites are apparently taking their word for it.

................................
You just have to read it. You just have to listen to all the audio recordings of the songs. You just have to look at the pictures of the investors in drag:

I'm not sure if I'd like this to be a joke or not.

  Hypocrisy and Clothes[Vent/Rant]
Posted by: Guest - 02-14-2014, 03:21 AM - Forum: Everyday-Stories - Replies (18)

Nah look, I'm quite vex, so lemme just apologize before I even start, cause I will cuss out.

[COLOR="Blue"]I like to wear unisex clothes right? Bordering on feminine, but here's de ding, I get guys who either give me de following responses;

"Ay, why are you trynna look like a girl? Ya got ya chest all exposed!"

or

"Your clothes are too tight, why don't you wear 2 sizes up bie?"

And I'm just what de fuck do you want me to do? Like, at least I'm not fucking running around in the suit ah my fucking birth??

I know my island is homophobic mostly, as are most other islands, especially in our particular shared culture, but really, unless I'm straight and fucking 80 girls per day, I can't expose a lil of my chest and wear de clothes I like?

Like the guy in my avatar, that is the normal wear for many guys here, it's fucking hot, but because he's straight, slightly more muscular, he can wear it down practically past his nipples, but lord forbid if you see my collar bone enuh? Ugh Msn-slapping

It's sexist, and like quadruple fucking standards, cause guys want girls to wear the most revealing, tightest clothes, but then get mad at a guy who does so to a lesser degree and then themselves often go around in just their white T and barechest!

Cover up your fucking man tits if thats the case then cunt!

Like I'm so bladdey well over having to be berated all the time, cause of things I can't control.

And the most funny part about all of this is; I get even de same reaction in "regular" guy clothes. I.e non-V neck, baggy pants/jeans, shoes

I know I often joke about being Androgynous and stuff, but guys here take it so seriously, it's like, because I dun have facial hair, have a pretty feminine body shape and dun walk like I've been cocked for 12 hours straight, which is in and of it's bladdey well self ironic, I'm told I'm trying too hard to be "manly", which is like utter bullshit.

Normally, it dun really affect me, cause It happens so often, but this FUCKING C-U-N mother fucking T, wants to get in my face today, talking bout I dress inappropriately infront ah her son.

Her son is fucking 16, and is my Sister's brother, first ah all, ew! Second ah all, the boy is old enough to know who de fuck he is and what he wants, so is not like I'm "influencing" anyding about him!

I was all for putting on a longer shirt, cause at de time before she even showed her rude ass up, I was feeding de dog, washin dishes and I noticed him from de corner of my eye watching me right? I don't know how long, but anyway, so I got my fat ass pon de next room over to get a longer shirt, but myself got distracted, so opps my mother fucking bad, but then she wants to come pick him up (as he comes to visit my sis obvi) and blows off her sloppy ass wigged lid!

Talking bout" Ya batty bwoy, trynna fuck up my son's head"

You know that mad you get, when you literally just got quiet? Well a pin dropped and I fucking heard it. It went "Ding Ding"

And I so wanted to ring her seed, but mama said never hit gurls, so I ripped into her like next week was yesterday and then had to tell her to leave, even tho it's not my house. But the point I made was, "I'm in fucking side ah de bladdey well house, what is the problemmm????"

I'm just so tired ah people and their bullshit when it comes to clothes.

Thankfully it doesn't happen every bladdey well day, but it still happens to often in my opinion.

I really wanna be incharge of de worl' for one day, just so I can put de X on de dumb bullshit people freak out over, like gurl!

Sorry y'all, Rant over >,>

But what is your opinion on clothes and the drama people attach to them? Cause It just can't be me, other wise, please commit me >,>cause I'mma go insane.

Hello!

Ok, there is this movie I was a trailer on last summer, and I cannot remember the name of the movie, but I REALLY want to see it.

It is a science fiction movie, made in Britain.

Its about these invisible aliens that land in the ghetto area and the ghetto kids have to get together to fight these aliens.

Sorry, thats about all that was in the trailer.

I dont think the movie is very old, probably came out in the past couple of years.

Anybody have a clue???

Grammys to Feature On-Air Weddings of 34 Couples

By BEN SISARIO

At the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, pop’s megastars will compete for the music industry’s most prestigious trophy, and put on flashy performances that are sure to ricochet through social media.

But the producers behind the program, which is to be broadcast live by CBS at 8 p.m., are hoping that the biggest show-stopper of the night will be a much more solemn event: an on-air wedding of 34 couples — gay, straight, old, young, of many races and many colors. The ceremony will be part of the hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’s performance of their Grammy-nominated song “Same Love,” which became a marriage-equality anthem last year just as that issue was drawing intense national attention.
